Sacramento's oldest Japanese restaurant, Nagato Sukiyaki, has been Japanese owned and operated since December 23, 1970. Owners and operators, Yoshio and Fumie Kawano have been preparing authentic japanese cuisine in their Sacramento location for over 50 years.
In keeping with Japanese tradition everything at Nagato is made fresh to order, and prepared in house. Specializing in dishes like Sukiyaki, Tempura, Teriyaki, Udon, and Sushi that is masterfully and skillfully prepared by sushi chef Don Kawano. With fresh fish arriving daily, under the watchful eyes of our trained chefs, only the freshest and quality ingredients are used in our restaurant.
